Cameron Winnett: Wales full-back to reflect on Six Nations omission
Sherratt pointed to Winnett’s workload over the past 12 months.
“Because he’s been training every week, even though he’s not injured, he’s had some little issues,” Sherratt said.
“I think he played 27 games last year. A year ago he would have played about a dozen mixed games with Cardiff RFC, a couple of our games and a few Wales Under-20 games.
“So his short-term development has been pretty amazing.
“It’s been a huge straight line from Cardiff RFC, through a couple of regional games, to starting almost every game for Wales and playing really well.”
