“I’m absolutely honored and privileged to be able to lead this fantastic team to where we want to be,” said Aldercroft, who will field Parker and Megan Jones as vice-captains.
“An important part of being captain is leading by example. When I speak, I mean it and I like to think about what I say.
“But it’s also about bringing up everyone else around me and making sure that everyone can be themselves and thrive in what they do.”
The Red Roses hope to win a fourth consecutive Women’s Six Nations Grand Slam in March and April before hosting the Women’s Rugby World Cup in August and September.
