Nigeria Lands $7.6 Billion in Investment Interest at Africa Forum – Africa.com
The President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, has revealed that the 2024 Africa Investment Forum (AIF) secured $7.6 billion in investment interest for Nigeria. The West African country was a highlight of the event in Rabat, Morocco, with several governors presenting investment-ready projects in different sectors including infrastructure, energy, agriculture and technology. The AIF was launched in 2018 to raise investment for projects that accelerate economic transformation on the continent. The African Development Bank connects project sponsors and investors with government leaders and policymakers through its flagship event, Market Days. The event generated a total of $29.2 billion in investment interest in Africa, demonstrating its effectiveness and Nigeria’s growing attractiveness to investors.
