Despite a tricky afternoon at home, Celtic prevailed and then beat city rivals Partick Thistle 4-2.
Early in the second half, forward Saoirse Noonan’s opener was canceled out by rival forward Carla Boyce.
However, Noonan added to the scoreline with 15 minutes remaining, with substitutes Kelly Clark and Maria McAnany helping Celtic take three points before centre-back Demi Falco Na’s last-minute goal brought one goal back for the visiting team.
Dundee United, three points behind bottom-placed Queen’s Park, suffered greater pain as they suffered a 6-1 defeat at home to Motherwell.
Doubles from forward Laura Berry and defender Chelsea Watson gave Motherwell a four-point lead at the break.
Forward Freya Brien put United on target with a fine strike from the kick-off, but Berry completed her hat-trick before midfielder Sophie Black scored Motherwell’s sixth goal.
