Maps show destruction of Los Angeles-area homes in Palisades, Eaton fire zones

Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said more than 92,000 people remained under evacuation orders as of Monday.
The maps, while incomplete, offer evacuated residents a chance to see whether their homes are still intact or what extent of damage has occurred. Many residents are still unable to return to their communities.
“There won’t be any repopulation until all areas are safe,” Los Angeles County Fire Chief Anthony Malone said.
The maps are colour-coded and show structural damage assessments ranging from damaged to severely and slightly damaged, affected and undamaged.
Malone said the map is updated daily, noting, “If there is no color icon on your address, it means the building has not been inspected.”
Luna echoed Marrone’s statement and said repopulation is a priority.
“We are hearing the voices of our community loud and clear and we want to get you involved as soon as possible,” he said.
He said there were still many dangers in the area and crews were still working to find the deceased.
