Liverpool: Calvin Ramsay joins Kilmarnock on loan
Scotland right-back Calvin Ramsey has joined Kilmarnock on loan from Liverpool for the remainder of the season.
Ramsey returns to Anfield Earlier this month, he cut short a season-long loan at First Division club Wigan Athletic.
The 21-year-old is a graduate of Aberdeen’s academy and has previously made 39 appearances for the Dons Join Liverpool Price June 2022 £4.2 million.
Ramsey played in the Champions League in his first season at Anfield and made his Scotland debut in a friendly against Turkey in November 2022.
However, injuries hampered his performance at Liverpool and the defender was also loaned out to Preston and Bolton Wanderers.
“When the opportunity came up to sign Calvin we jumped at it,” Kilmarnock manager Derek McInnes said.
“I would like to thank Liverpool again for their cooperation on this deal.”
The defender has been on the fringes of Aberdeen’s first-team squad under McInnes, whose side sit ninth in the Scottish League but just four points behind sixth-placed Hibernian.
