Many home security technologies are focused on the front door. At CES 2025, we saw home security companies planning to bring all of this into one device. The result? Smart video locks from brands like Lockly and TCL Do a little of everything.
These locks can monitor access and allow the use of keypad passes, fingerprints and even the Apple Home key (e.g. best smart lock About. but, Like the best video doorbellthese locks are also equipped with high-resolution cameras that can detect people, send alerts to your phone, and enable two-way communication with the app. Rather than attaching a third-party screen, they have a display built into the lock so you can see who is approaching the door without the need for a peephole or other device.
Lockly’s Vision Prestige is particularly noteworthy for its touchscreen keyboard and Apple compatibility, but you’ll have to shell out $500 for this all-in-one security technology when it goes on sale later this year.
