Lusaka, Zambia, January 10, 2025 – /African Media Agency (AMA)/ – Thales leverages its expertise and extensive experience to provide best-in-class maintenance services, including frequent diagnostics of its STAR 2000 and RSM 970S radar solutions and TopSky-ATC systems, ensuring that all solutions supplied to ZACL remain up to date and high performance.

The maintenance contract provides comprehensive support from Thales, including preventive and corrective maintenance. It includes electronic repair services for STAR 2000 and RSM 970S radars as well as software corrections for TopSky-ATC systems, ensuring a comprehensive view of the maintenance budget at a fixed price.

Thales will provide annual health checks, vibration analysis and quarterly site visits for the STAR 2000 and RSM 970S radars to anticipate problems and ensure optimal performance. The TopSky-ATC system will benefit from four annual preventive maintenance inspections as well as three annual visits from technical and operational support teams for more in-depth inspections. Both solutions will be supported with unlimited hardware repairs.

A dedicated support team located close to the site will guarantee a fast, streamlined repair process with guaranteed turnaround times, and ZACL will have access to the ongoing process at all times via the Thales customer online portal, ensuring high transparency.
