Celebrities share their stories of evacuation and loss amid devastating fires
Many celebrities in Los Angeles have a Pacific Palisades or Malibu zip code. As multiple wildfires continue to burn across the region, some have taken to social media to share their grief and tears, evacuations and encouragement.
Palisades fire is about to be extinguished
Actor James Woods documented The flames are getting closer Number X went to his home and burst into tears during an interview with CNN.
“I’m sorry, I thought I was going to be stronger than this,” he said of the evacuation. “One day you’re swimming in the pool and the next day it’s all gone.”
On Instagram, the actor Posted by Mark Hamill He and his family evacuated Malibu Tuesday night.
“Malibu was evacuated at the last minute and as we approached PCH there were small fires on both sides of the road,” he wrote. “Worst fire since ’93, please stay safe.”
Actor Steve Guttenberg said his family has safely evacuated their Palisades home, but he told KCAL News he will remain at home.
“I’m going to do the best I can. I’m going to put on a pair of gloves and see how far I can get, everybody needs help right now,” Guttenberg said. “Yesterday at 9 o’clock in the morning, it was an idyllic day. By 10 o’clock in the morning, the sky was pitch black, I mean black as night.”

“General Hospital” Cameron Matheson shared a video on Instagram Where his house once stood was rubble and flames.
“Our home is where our children grew up and where they hope to one day raise their own,” the actor wrote.

“This is the last photo I took of Leah’s Rock at my beach house. I’ve owned this house for almost 30 years,” she wrote. “It looks like it was lost in last night’s fire. It has a rainbow glowing on it, which I think is a sign of hope for all the creatures affected by this tragedy.”
Actor Eugene Levy, honorary mayor of Pacific Palisades, told the media Los Angeles Times The story of how he was trapped while trying to escape.
“The smoke over Temescal Canyon looked very dark and intense,” Levy told The Times. “I couldn’t see any flames, but the smoke was very dark.”
Actor Billy Crystal and his wife Janice released a joint statement Wednesday in response to the Palisades fire.
“Words cannot describe the magnitude of the disaster we have witnessed and experienced. Our hearts go out to our friends and neighbors who also lost their homes and businesses in this tragedy,” the statement began. “Janice and I have been together since 1979 Lived in our home since 2001. We have raised our children and grandchildren here. Every inch of our house is filled with love that cannot be taken away. We and our friends, we will get through this.”
‘Our beloved neighbor has disappeared’
Jamie Lee Curtis says her home is safe, but ‘our beloved community is gone’ she wrote on Instagram. She also shared a video of what looked like an apocalyptic movie set – empty streets, smoky skies and the shells of what had once been buildings.
“So many people have lost everything. Help any way you can. Thank you to first responders and firefighters,” she wrote.
Reality TV personality Spencer Pratt posted a photo on Instagramsaid his parents’ house was missing.
He wrote: “One of the positive signs I saw when our house burned down was that our son’s bed was burned into the shape of a heart. It showed there was so much love in the house and so much gratitude for the time our family spent there. All the years and memories.”

Actress Mandy Moore is dealing with another fire, Eaton Firewhere 52,000 residents were under evacuation orders. Her home is in Altadena, and she thanked friends for housing her family while they evacuated.
“Trying to protect the kids from the overwhelming sadness and concern I feel. Praying for everyone in our beautiful city. So saddened by the destruction and loss. Don’t know if our place made it,” she wrote on Instagram.
