Asus Zenbook Duo (2025) hands on: the new king of on-the-go functionality
CES 2025 was packed with innovations and announcements, and of course, artificial intelligence took center stage in a big way. ASUS Zenbook Duo (2025) is launched, an updated version of the company’s flagship dual-screen laptop that now comes with Intel Artificial intelligence augmentation.
The Asus Zenbook Duo (2025) is a pretty revolutionary device, allowing those on the go or who don’t want a full desktop setup to still take advantage of multiple screens. You also have the flexibility to use the device as a regular laptop when two screens might be a bit too much.
With Intel AI Boost available in the latest Intel Core Ultra 9 processors, you can achieve incredible efficiency when performing AI-driven tasks. Pair that with some sizable specs, all wrapped up in a lightweight, slim design, and you’ve got a powerful machine that you can easily throw in a backpack and use anywhere.
Price and availability
Starting at $1,699.99 (UK and Australian pricing yet to be confirmed), the Asus Zenbook Duo isn’t the most expensive piece of kit on the market, but it’s certainly not a budget option either.
Of course, you pay extra for the dual-screen option, which in turn saves you money since you don’t have to invest in a second monitor.
ASUS Zenbook Duo will be available from February 10, 2025.
design
On first inspection, the Asus Zenbook Duo (2025) looks like a regular laptop, but lift up the wireless keyboard and there’s a second screen underneath that’s only active when the keyboard is removed, so you don’t have to worry about power consumption.
In addition to standard laptop mode, the Asus Zenbook Duo also allows you to use dual-screen mode (as you’d expect) as well as other options such as desktop mode and even screen sharing. While it may sound intimidating at first, switching between modes is easy and seamless, and with the built-in kickstand, you can switch from laptop mode to dual-screen mode in seconds.
You get stunning dual 3K, 120Hz organic light emitting diode The panel looks absolutely stunning. The device is visually gorgeous, with stunning color breadth and all the other benefits of an OLED screen.
Both monitors are touchscreen and support Asus Pen 2.0, which means you can easily use one as a drawing tablet for photo editing or graphic design. Even better, Asus Pen 2.0 is also included, meaning you don’t have to go out and spend extra cash to use the feature.
The ASUS Zenbook Duo (2025) weighs 2.98 pounds (1.35kg) and is only 14.6mm thick, making it heavier than some other lightweights, but it will never put a strain on your back when carrying it. These measurements don’t include the keyboard; however, it’s basically paper thin, weighs next to nothing, and the device remains very compact once it’s inside.
On the keyboard, it does feel a little flimsy when separated from the device itself, but that’s not the end of the world.
Despite the slim design, you still get a ton of ports, including two Thunderbolt 4 ports, a USB Type-A port, an audio jack, and an HDMI 2.1 output.
