Guro Reiten: Chelsea trigger option to extend winger’s contract
Chelsea have triggered an option to extend winger Guero Retten’s contract until 2026.
The 30-year-old Norwegian striker signed a new contract with the Women’s Super League (WSL) champions in December 2023, which includes an extension option.
Reiten has made 177 appearances for Chelsea since joining from Norwegian side LSK Kvinner in 2019.
She won five WSL titles, three FA Cups and two League Cups with the club.
Reiten is the top scorer for Sonia Bompastor’s side in the WSL this season with six goals.
Chelsea sit top of the WSL, six points ahead of second-placed Manchester City, and return to action after the winter break on Sunday when they face Charlton in the FA Cup fourth round.
