Bournemouth: Evanilson has surgery on broken foot
Bournemouth striker Evan Nelson will be out for some time after undergoing surgery on a foot injury.
The Brazilian striker was substituted late in the game. Saturday’s 1-0 win over Everton.
Further evaluation confirmed he had a metatarsal fracture, requiring surgery.
The Cherries said the operation was successful but have yet to confirm a timetable for the 25-year-old’s recovery.
A statement read: “The club’s medical staff will now provide full support to Evan Nelson during his recovery to ensure he gets the best possible recovery.”
Evan Nelson has scored five goals in 19 games since joining Bournemouth Porto sets record transfer fee of £40 million August.
Bournemouth set a new club record of eight games unbeaten in the Premier League against the Toffees on Saturday.
Andoni Illara’s side are currently in seventh place, three points adrift of the top four.
