Top Don’t-Miss Things to See at CES 2025 So Far
CES 2025 It’s just getting started, and with it comes a deluge of wild, weird, and wonderful new products. I’m going to make a daily list of things worth seeing and believing – and I take “something worth seeing” literally, unless it’s amazing in other ways. Because if it’s dry and dusty, what’s the point? You can see these things just by going online. These are all worth noting, even if just knowing they exist can help you hold your own in conversations with your geeky friends.
It’s still early – showrooms open to the public on Tuesday – but as journalists we’ve got an early look at some of the early contenders to capture our eyes and imaginations. We’re excited to have more products making it to our hit list: stay tuned.

A roly-poly robot with a projector in its belly
Many products debut in concept form at CES but never see the light of day, so it’s always nice to see one make it to market. Ballie made its CES debut in 2020, but returned to the workshop with a projector and the ability to find a surface to project content (and audio) on. Now ready to ship.

Roam Soda Top
Add hiss instantly
The SodaStream lets you make fizzy drinks at home, and it was a great idea when it launched. But now everyone is on the move and equipped with a water bottle, so why can you only blow in one place? SodaTop is a water bottle compatible lid that carbonates water in compatible containers.
This revolutionary bottle cap lets you make soda anywhere.

Feed me, Seymour
Don’t wait until the soil cracks or the leaves fall off to start. LeafyPod is a smart grower that learns the right regimen for your houseplants and determines if any environmental factors are less than ideal. It then lets the plant express its needs through a mobile app. It can’t do everything – you still have to do what you’re told.
New smart pots at CES 2025 let plants scream when they need more water or light.
JSAUX FlipGo Horizon
Multi-screen add-ons every year
The concept of being able to use multiple portable screens with a laptop is one of those elusive dreams that has us searching for a product we can use. They’re also a CES staple, and on day one at least, the FlipGo caught the attention of dreamers. Who knows? Maybe this is IT.
Dominate your coffee shop with the FlipGo Horizon snap-on laptop display.
