Briton among dead in New Orleans vehicle attack
The British Foreign Office confirmed that a car attack in New Orleans on New Year’s Day killed at least 14 people, including a British citizen.
The Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) said in a statement that it was providing support to the family of the deceased.
An FCDO spokesman said: “We are providing support to the family of a British national who died in New Orleans and are liaising with local authorities.”
During the attack, a man drove a pickup truck through crowds on the city’s Bourbon Street before being shot dead by police.
