UK weather 2024: Five things you need to know
A brief but severe cold snap occurred in late November, bringing the first significant snowfall of the season to parts of the UK, from Scotland to Devon.
Temperatures fell below -10C in parts of northern Scotland, including Braemar in Aberdeenshire, which recorded a low of -11.2C – the coldest November night since 1998.
