President Ramkalawan announces changes in the Cabinet of Ministers
President Wawel Ramkalavan announced the dismissal of Mr. Nadir Hassan as Minister of Finance, Economic Planning and Trade.
At a press conference at the State House this afternoon, the President expressed his gratitude to Minister Hassan for his service to the country in this important role.
Following this development, the President also announced that the Vice-President, Mr Ahmed Afif, will oversee the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning and Trade.
Upon leaving the government at the end of January 2025, Minister Hassan will serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Island Development Corporation (IDC).
Additionally, the President announced the appointment of Mr. Cyril Bonnelame as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Island Development Corporation (IDC).
Future restructuring will be announced early next year.
