A priest in County Armagh says the local community is in shock after a father and son were killed in a car crash.

Peter Devlin and his son Loughlin die when an Audi and a Mercedes collide Friday outside the village of Kililia.

Four other people, including an infant, were taken to hospital.

One woman was seriously injured and is in critical condition.

Father Sean Moore wore sunglasses, a dark jacket and a black shirt with a white collar. He was standing in a field - a stone church could be seen in the distance behind him.

He also condemned misinformation on social media about the crash.

“This is a terrible shock to the community and the whole community is shocked,” he told BBC News NI.

Father Moore said the Devlin family was well known in the community, where Peter worked as a painter.

The priest said local parishes would pray for the men and their families on Sunday night.

The deaths bring the total number of people killed on Northern Ireland’s roads in 2024 to 67.

Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
