Best Portable Grills of 2024, Tested and Reviewed

PKGO Charcoal Grill This is a very solid charcoal grill, and the only reason it’s missing from the main list is its weight. While it’s a manageable size, at 35 pounds, it’s a little heavier than a grill I’d personally want to carry around. The PKGO is solidly constructed and has a really cool dual function, the lid pops off and flips over into a fire pit, so you can essentially double the cooking surface and get a fire pit detector that’s close to the coals if that’s what you’re looking for. If you don’t mind a little extra weight on the grill

Everdure Cube Portable Charcoal Grill: I really like this compact, stylish charcoal grill that comes with a built-in cutting board and prep container. The only thing keeping it off this list is the high price, but it’s currently on sale for $167 with a 10% off-page coupon. It’s well built and easy to handle (it weighs under 20 pounds), and if you have a spare coin lying around, I recommend getting it.

Magma single burner firebox: This is another grill that I like, but it’s not portable or expensive. The burner alone weighs 26 pounds and originally sold for $200 (although it’s currently on significant clearance), but you’ll need to add Grill top accessoriesthe fee is $350. This model was designed with the needs of the boater in mind, so if you’re going to set sail, you might want to take a closer look at the expensive Magma.

Giantex Tabletop Propane Grill: I don’t have any major issues with this grill. It came out great, hot and cooked evenly. I prefer the design of these small gas grills compared to the Weber Q and NomadiQ. The Weber Q is sturdier and has a convenient built-in rack, while the NomadiQ is the most portable gas grill I’ve ever seen. This is a beautiful grill that’s worth its $300 price tag.

Charcoal grill portable gas grill (Update: Out of Stock): This grill is a bargain and the product lives up to the price tag. Once assembled it was rickety and didn’t feel like it would last more than a season. For $50, what else can you expect? If you need something to get you through a weekend or two of camping, this should do the trick.

Charcoal Grill: Charcoal Grill Deluxe Tabletop Grill: While the Char-Broil above may be a practical budget grill, this model is too poorly designed and built to waste $70. One of the worst value for money restaurants in the small BBQ category and definitely worth staying away from.

BioLite Grill and Fire Pit: If you want a fire pit that can be turned into a beach BBQ and backyard BBQ, this is a great option. This $300 model works well, but we found its construction to be a bit crude for such an expensive grill.
