Sherratt praises form of ‘all in’ Cardiff wing Josh Adams
Cardiff City head coach Matt Sherratt praised Wales winger Josh Adams for his man-of-the-match contribution in the United Rugby Championship (URC) derby win over the Dragons 24-22.
Adams scored his fourth try in three games while recovering from a knee injury that forced him to miss six months.
The 29-year-old missed Wales’ summer tour of Australia and three defeats against Fiji, Australia and South Africa in the autumn, but is now back in fine form for Cardiff ahead of next month’s Six Nations.
“He fully supported us,” Sherratt said.
“I loved seeing him get emotional at the end of the game for us.
“You’re talking about a guy who’s been to the World Cup and played for the British and Irish Lions and he’s very committed to our team.
“He showed 100 per cent resilience and ability during the game, showing all his qualities.
“He’s got a bit of game sharpness now and looks dangerous.”
