A man has been charged with murder after allegedly stabbing two women at an apartment building on Christmas Day.

Joanne Pearson, 38, and Teohna Grant, 24, were killed in Santa Cruz Avenue, Bletchley, Milton Keynes and discovered by the police Around 18:36 GMT.

Residents of the apartment placed flowers and tributes near where the woman was found.

Sophie Pritchard told the BBC: “What happened was horrific, tragic… This kind of thing should not happen anywhere.”

Milton Keynes councilor Ed Hume said: “The community in Newton Rice is a strong one.

“This is a close-knit community that looks out for each other and I know everyone is shocked and saddened.”
