PDC World Darts Championship 2025 results: Jonny Clayton beats Mickey Mansell in sudden-death leg
In the second round of the 2025 PDC World Darts Championship, Jonny Clayton staged a stunning comeback in the final set to defeat Mickey Mansell by sudden death 3-2.
The seventh-seeded Welshman had twice lost to his Northern Irish opponent, but came back to win the deciding set 6-5.
Clayton lost the first set, hoping to avoid being eliminated as the No. 12 seed, but ended up leading 2-1.
He was leveled by 51-year-old Mansell, who missed a double-headed dart in the deciding set.
The Welshman will face either Daryl Gurney or Florian Hempel in the third round after the three-day Christmas break.
