NBA: LeBron James sets new record in Los Angeles Lakers win over Sacramento Kings
LeBron James broke the NBA record for most minutes played as the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Sacramento Kings.
The 39-year-old American completed his 57,447th minute on the court in the 113-100 win on Friday, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
James surpasses Abdul-Jabbar to set NBA all-time scoring record earlier this yearScored 19 points and teammate Austin Reeves scored 25 points.
“It’s just my commitment to this craft and my passion and love for this sport,” James said.
“I didn’t spend a lot of time in the offseason, and now I have a little more time.”
Elsewhere, Brooklyn Nets center Nick Claxton was ejected from the court for throwing a ball into the crowd during the Nets’ 101-94 victory over the Toronto Raptors.
Claxton showed his frustration when he was fouled on his way to the basket and then escorted off the court by officials after trying to throw the pads.
