Dewi Lake: Wales captain and Ospreys hooker suffers arm injury
Wales captain Dewi Lake is a major injury suspect for the Ospreys’ United Rugby Championship derby against Skalay in Swansea on Saturday.
The 25-year-old hooker injured his biceps in training and the Ospreys are awaiting scan results.
Wales will also be nervous about the result, with their Six Nations opener against France in Paris on January 31.
“We’re just checking on Devey,” Ospreys head coach Mark Jones said.
“He accidentally hit his bicep in training.
“We’re just evaluating the situation, what part of the bicep it is and what, if anything, needs to be done to put him in a playing position.
“We will keep him as long as possible because he is an important player and we are happy to keep him around. I am waiting for my own answer to clarify the situation.”
