Wolves agree deal for Vitor Pereira to become new boss
Vito Pereira has agreed an 18-month contract to become Wolves’ new manager.
The Premier League’s struggling side has spent around €1 million to bring the owner of Saudi Professional League club Al-Shabaab to the central region.
Former Porto and Olympiacos boss Portuguese Pereira was due to travel to England on Tuesday and although the contract has yet to be signed, no late issues are expected after negotiations are well underway.
The 56-year-old’s first game will be at Leicester City on Sunday, with Wolves second from bottom, five points behind the 17th-placed Foxes.
Wolves have lost 11 of their 16 Premier League games and sacked former manager Gary O’Neill on Sunday following Saturday’s 2-1 defeat at fellow struggling Ipswich Town.
