Australia vs India: Steve Smith & Travis Head hit centuries in Brisbane Test
Despite a sluggish performance from India’s Jasprit Bumrah on day two of the third Test in Brisbane, Steve Smith and Travis Head Travis Head’s centuries of hard work, Australia remains at the top.
The duo came together for 75-3 and put on 241 with almost no chance for the fourth wicket before Bumrah dismissed both and Mitchell with the second new ball at the Gabba ·Mitchell Marsh eliminated.
Smith scored 101, ending a run of 26 consecutive innings without a Test century, while Hyde smashed 152 off 160 balls for the second consecutive time.
Bumrah returned to take his 12th five-wicket haul in Tests, having earlier dismissed openers Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney McSweeney).
Alex Carey and Pat Cummins shared 58, but the latter was dismissed later in the day, leaving Australia 405-7 at stumps.
