Banksy artwork which appeared in Margate returns to town

A Banksy artwork that appeared in Margate last year has returned to the town.

The piece, titled ‘Valentine’s Mascara’, is now available to view for free at The WonderWorks in Hornby Hobbies after being exhibited at a London gallery.

The mural, which appeared on the side of a house in the town on Valentine’s Day 2023, shows a 2023 housewife with swollen eyes and missing teeth apparently locking a man in a refrigerator.

Hornby Hobbies chief executive Olly Raeburn said the artwork held a “special place” in Margate’s heart.

The artwork was originally placed in On display at the town’s fantasy theme park.

It was exhibited at Yamaha Music London and the Yield Gallery in the capital before returning to Margate.

The Bristol artist’s work is worth £6m and is available to the public Opportunity to buy stocks In the mural.
