NFL: Los Angeles Rams beat San Francisco 49ers 12-6 in rain-hit game to boost play-off hopes
The Los Angeles Rams boosted their hopes of advancing to the NFL play-offs with a 12-6 victory over the San Francisco 49ers in a rain-affected game.
With the game tied at 6-6 in the fourth quarter, rookie kicker Joshua Karty’s 27-yard field goal gave the Rams a three-point lead.
Then, with 18 seconds left, Carty made his fourth and final shot.
“This team can win a lot of ways,” Rams coach Sean McVay said.
Neither team scored a touchdown Thursday in a soggy Levi’s Stadium in California, the first game of the 2024 season without a touchdown.

San Francisco opened the scoring in the first quarter on Jake Moody’s 53-yard field goal, and he added another early in the third quarter to give the 49ers a 6-3 lead.
