Shane Ferguson: Derry City sign Northern Ireland international
Derry City have signed Northern Ireland international Shane Ferguson, the League of Ireland Premier League club confirmed on Wednesday morning.
The 33-year-old has signed a one-year contract with the Candystripes, with the option of a second contract.
The former Newcastle United player has made 57 appearances for Northern Ireland, his last appearance coming in a 2-0 win over San Marino in May 2023.
Ferguson is a native of Derry and can play at left back and left wing.
He has spent the past few seasons at Rotherham United and left the club following their relegation to the First Division when his contract expired in the summer.
