Best Sounding Wireless Earbuds in 2024: AirPods, Sony and More
Bowers & Wilkins PI7 S2: Although they have been replaced by the new and improved PI8, the PI7 S2 with its dual-driver design is still one of the best-sounding true wireless earbuds. The step-down PI5 S2 has a single-driver design that doesn’t sound as good, but is cheaper.
Sony LinkBuds S: Unlike the “open” LinkBuds, the LinkBuds S are traditional sound-isolating earbuds with earbuds that fit inside the ear. They’re more compact and lighter than Sony’s previous flagship, the WF-1000XM4, and also feature Sony’s V1 processor. (Sony has since released the more compact WF-1000XM5.) While their sound and noise-canceling capabilities aren’t quite up to the level of the XM4 or XM5, they’re still pretty good. They are Sony headphones for those who want 80% of the features and performance of Sony’s flagship headphones at a lower price.
Jabra Elite 10: Yes, Jabra Elite 10s There are some potential downsides: They’re lighter in noise cancellation than the competition at $249, and they may need to drop in price a bit to better compete with the AirPods Pro 2 ā at least for Apple users so. Nonetheless, they are still very good earbuds that are not only comfortable to wear for long periods of time but also sound great.
Bang & Olufsen Beoplay EX: Bang & Olufsen’s $399 Beoplay EX headphones are the company’s best truly wireless headphones. They offer a comfortable, secure fit (except for those with very small ears), top-notch build quality, great sound quality, good noise cancellation, and improved voice call performance over the B&O EQ headphones, with three included in each earbud. A microphone reduces background noise while picking up your voice. While they’re priced out of most people’s reach, they’re arguably the best stemmed earbuds out there and offer slightly better sound than the AirPods Pro 2, with better clarity, deeper depth, and more punch bass and a richer, more accurate sound.
Audio-Technica ATH-TWX9: Audio-Technica has released several true wireless headphones over the past few years, but none of them have been great. The ATH-TWX9 changes that, with a premium design, premium sound quality, and a pretty robust feature set, including strong active noise cancellation, multi-point Bluetooth pairing, and a case equipped with wireless charging and UV LED disinfection. In the box, you’ll also find a ton of ear tip options, and I was able to get a tight seal and a comfortable fit. These headphones are IPX4 splash-proof and have a rated battery life of 6 hours at moderate volumes.

The Evo headphones sound better than the company’s other headphones, offering better clarity and bass definition and a relatively wide soundstage. Sony WF-1000XM4: The Sony WF-1000XM4 was released in 2021 and won the CNET Editors’ Choice Award. They’re still excellent earbuds, but Sony has now released the next generation, the WF-1000XM5. If you find they have a good discount, they might be a good choice.
Ultimate Audio ZE8000: Japanās Final Audio, which makes some high-end audiophile headphones, including a $4,299 pair D8000 Professional EditionLaunched ZE8000 ($199) true wireless earphones with a unique stick design and excellent sound quality. The largest earbuds fit comfortably and securely in my ears, although they do stick out a bit.
Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3: The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3 are one of the best new true wireless headphones of 2022. They’re still one of the best true wireless headphones out there, but Sennheiser has released an upgraded version, the Momentum True Wireless 4 . Additionally, the newer AirPods Pro 2 and Sony WF-1000XM5 headphones are arguably superior, so only consider buying the Momentum True Wireless 3 if they offer significantly better performance. JBL Live Pro 2: JBL has released some decent true wireless headphones over the years, but nothing that really got me too excited. That’s finally changing with the arrival of new Samsung own-brand products Live Pro 2 and free life 2 bud. Both sets of earphones (the Live Pro 2 has ear stems, while the Live Free 2 has a pill-shaped design) offer a comfortable fit, strong noise cancellation, very good sound quality and voice call performance, and a rugged set earphone.
