Hero World Challenge: Justin Thomas leads Scottie Scheffler with one round remaining

Justin Thomas shot a bogey-free 66 to get to 6 under to take a one-stroke lead over Scottie Scheffler heading into Sunday’s final round at the Hero World Challenge.

World No. 1 Scheffler missed the birdie putt on the 18th. He shot 69 at Albany Golf Club in the Bahamas, improving his score to 16 under par.

South Korea’s Tom Kim moved up seven spots to third with a 10-under 62. After 16 holes, Kim was 11 under for the round, but five double bogeys on the par-3 17th ended any hopes of tying the course record. 61.

However, he hit a bunker shot on the final shot for an improbable birdie and finished just two shots behind Thomas at 15 under.

U.S. Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley continued his good form with a bogey-free 68 to finish at 13 under, four shots behind.

Robert McIntyre of Scotland had a chaotic final six holes, making four birdies and two bogeys en route to a 9-under 68.

England’s Aaron Rai shot 72 to stay at 2 under and tied for 14th on the 20-man field.
