Tanzanian Startup ClickPesa has Launched ClickPesa MFI
It is a financial platform for microfinance institutions (MFIs) that helps better serve small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and women-owned businesses. The platform facilitates digital loan disbursements, online and offline repayment collection and real-time reconciliation, automating payment workflows to reduce human errors and improve data accuracy. Additionally, it integrates with widely used loan management and accounting software to further streamline operations. “Our commitment to supporting SMEs and women-owned businesses drives our entry into this space,” said Richard Lema, Chief Operating Officer of ClickPesa. “Over 1.5 years, we interviewed more than 500 microfinance institutions to understand challenges they face and identify what drives their success in scaling their operations and creating meaningful impact. Through discussions with established MFIs, we identified three key factors – maintaining immediate cash flow, Leverage powerful payment digitization tools and implement seamless data automation.”
