Skeleton World Cup: GB’s Stoecker & Wyatt win mixed skeleton gold in Germany
Britain’s Tabby Stoecker and Marcus Wyatt won mixed team World Cup gold in Germany.
Their combined time of 2 minutes, 1.19 seconds was 0.37 seconds faster than second place Americans Austin Florian and Sara Roderick, while German pair Christopher Grosser (Christopher Grotheer) and Susanne Kreher were third.
Stocker and Wyatt also posted the fastest times in their respective categories in individual races in Altenburg on Friday.
They plan to compete in three more World Cup mixed team events together this season, with the competition set to debut at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina.
Great Britain’s Matt Weston finished second in the men’s float race, with Wyatt finishing third behind Olympic champion Grotheer.
Weston missed the gold medal by 0.03 seconds after two runs and beat Wyatt for silver by one-hundredth of a second.
Britain’s Amelia Coltman was sixth in the women’s race, but poor weather conditions reduced the race to one point.
