Pat Lam: Bristol Bears boss compares Champions Cup to Test matches
Bristol Bears director of rugby Pat Ring likened the team’s upcoming Champions League fixture to a “Test match”.
The Bears begin their European tour this Sunday against Rugby League leaders Leinster before visiting 2022 and 2023 European champions La Rochelle next weekend.
Lin’s side beat Harlequins 48-24 at Stoop Stadium on Friday in an impressive first two rounds of the competition.
“For us, it’s like we have to play two Test matches now,” Lin told BBC Radio Bristol.
“We have to play Ireland, we have to play France and that’s something we can all be excited about but we have to get the job done.
“What we’re doing now is just the work we put in and we’re going to continue to do that.”
The Bears currently sit second in the Premier League table with 29 points after seven games, with leaders Bath just ahead of their Western Conference rivals.
