Fifpro: Seven Manchester City players nominated for 2024 team of the year award
Seven Manchester City players are among the 11 Premier League stars named in the 2024 Fifpro Team of the Year.
Only Real Madrid have more nominated players, with eight players in total, including French forward Kylian Mbappe, who joined the Spanish club from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Manchester City’s seven players are goalkeeper Ederson, defenders Ruben Dias and Kyle Walker, midfielders Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden and forward Erling. Haaland.
England striker Cole Palmer moved to Stamford Bridge from the Etihad Stadium in August 2023 and was first shortlisted as a Manchester City and Chelsea player.
Aston Villa and Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez were also included in the nominations, but Liverpool and Egypt winger Mohamed Salah were not nominated.
Argentina and Inter Miami forward Lionel Messi and Al Nasr’s Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo are the only two players in the 26-man squad who play outside Europe.
Messi was nominated for the 18th time, breaking his record as the most nominated player in history, followed by Ronaldo, who was nominated for the 16th time.

The men’s world eleven will be announced at the FIFA Best Awards ceremony on December 9.
