BitBasel + VESA
South Beach direction
This year, BitBasel will be taking over the entire Sagamore Hotel in Miami’s South Beach for an entire week. The last BitBasel show I attended was at the Miami Bitcoin Center in 2019, so exhibiting with these pioneers again is precious. I don’t know how good my prediction ability is keynote The focus then was on what to show now. It’s a riff on Groundhog Day, Bananas, and Dante’s cycle of hell, while trying to help humanity break free from counter-patterns. A worthy fight. Legend only 🚀
Even though this journey has been crazy from the early days, with some fundamentals needing to be repeated over and over again, and the ETH scene eroding further, luckily someone saw what I was doing and supported it view Be part of it all. Thank you so much leakage Thank you Scarlett for having me on the show in 2024.
back to the future
Please note what was displayed on the screen during my talk on all things decentralized at BitBasel 2019
At the time, I commented a lot about how the world is on fire, how we need to fix the monetary system, the origin story of creativity, how artificial intelligence will replace most low-end lawyers, accountants, etc. within five years, and how banana-fucking-no in the art world Maybe it will sink further. Man, was I wrong about this again. The art world seems to have found new ways to bottom out in the Web3 space. At least then, SuperRare was just taking off with great promise. Naively, I still believed that blockchain would bring more transparency to the art world. Ha ha.
Anyway, Holy Touch and Banana both appeared in my slides during the presentation, and now they will be part of BitBasel 2024 as combined artwork. This article comments on how the West has lost its way and explores what we can do to revitalize it. The opposite of great adversity is prog, and I’ve been here. Eventually, this will be seen by all and taken to be self-evident. At the same time, I have to be both an artist and a cultural critic. It’s a strange position to be in, but someone has to do it.
I am potential

The second work on display is Live version NFT BitRam artwork reimagines Bitcoin’s animal legend. Bitcoin continues to move forward, breaking new digital heights, but most importantly, it is fighting for a safe alternative space away from the fiat inflation machine.

Lex also asked me to provide some Metaverse material on screen, which I’m delighted about. A compilation of some of the best videos produced to date via Asvoria (coming soon), Superworld and Cornerstone Land will be presented as part of a larger Metaverse reel.
Why are we not allowed to ask the most fundamental questions in art. Why can’t we be inspired by excellence, beauty, harmony, spirituality? Time and time again, we are like a bunch of pigs with no future, intoxicated in this mud. At least pigs get some nutrition and skin care from play, and we’re just reducing ourselves to instinctless animals.

try hard to prove
tropical Starting in 2017, this is the first Miami-specific piece I’ve made. The 2/3 repaint is still available now and costs 1 BTC. I’m keeping the idea that some early works will keep the thread at 1 BTC price when purchased from me. Of course I need to start making other pieces without it because around 10k is still a constant “fuck you” money that people in the scene use for art. These pieces are historic, though, so if you want to get involved, I salute you! I saved it here as a last thing, so you can only find them if proven through collector’s efforts.
Also, always respect Mo Levine, Founder North American Bitcoin Conferencegave me my first opportunity to showcase my art in January 2018. Nice to have a friend, Joel from the Bad Crypto Podcast, lurking in the background 😂 A 1/50 signed print was given to Moe as a gift.
At $100k, once the dust settled, a 6×3 foot repaint was still cheaper than some of the earliest monolithic pieces ended up costing.
