Jed Holloway: Leicester Tigers sign Australia forward joins on short-term deal

Leicester Tigers have signed Australian forward Jed Holloway on a short-term contract.

Holloway most recently played for Super Rugby side New South Wales Waratahs, where he made over 100 appearances, and will join MLS side San Diego Legion in 2025.

Holloway said he is excited to join the Tigers “in the coming months.”

Leicester face Sale away on Saturday when the Premier League returns, before two Champions League group games against Bordeaux Begles and Sharks in six days.

“Coming out of the international window we are obviously missing some players in the back row and we have important games in the league. The same goes for European games.” explain, external Leicester City manager Michael Cheika.

“Jed has the qualities we need in his game so it’s great to add him to the roster to help us with our selection challenges.”

The Tigers have won five of their first six games of the Premier League season and sit one point behind leaders Bath.
