Salford Red Devils: Super League clubs approve financial advance
Salford Red Devils have been handed a financial lifeline with their Premier League club agreeing to pay forward their share of the 2025 allocated funds.
With uncertainty over the future of Salford Community Stadium and doubts over collecting commercial revenue leaving the Red Devils with a bit of a hole in their finances, the club last week Request help from other teams in the league.
A club meeting on Monday agreed to advance funds to Salford to cover the shortfall while the stadium issues are sorted out, Salford City Council has agreed Approval of land purchase transaction In September they shared it with rugby league side Sale Sharks.
The sport’s commercial arm – Rugby League Commercial – said in a statement that Salford had received confirmation of an “upfront payment offer for the club’s existing distribution rights”.

Salford chief executive Paul King welcomed the decision, explain:, external “This provides the club with time to consider all investment options and continue to work with the council and our friends at Sale Sharks to support the purchase of the stadium.”
King added that he hoped the deal would progress “imminently” and, once finalized, would aid in the “buildout of our advertising screens and provide an additional revenue stream for the club”.
The club has also announced two new kit partners ahead of next season.
“We know we have commercial work to do,” said chief operating officer Claire Butters.
“This is a big club with a lot of tradition and our job is to rebuild Salford Red Devils as Salford FC and build something special here that people love and want to be a part of.
“The sky’s the limit for the Salford spirit and that’s the mentality we’re adopting.”
