Queen’s 2025: Carlos Alcaraz to play at tournament before Wimbledon
Two-time Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz will play at Queen’s University in 2025.
The world number three won the Queen’s Club Championship on her first appearance in 2023 but lost to Britain’s Jack Draper in the second round last year.
However, just weeks later the Spaniard would win twice at Wimbledon.
The 21-year-old said: “Lifting the trophy two years ago gave me the confidence to go on and win Wimbledon for the first time, so it always means a lot to compete there.”
“I love playing in front of the London fans and I hope I can have another successful summer in the UK.”
The men’s championship will be held from June 16 to 22, and Queen’s will also host the women’s championship in 2025 for the first time in more than 50 years.
American Tommy Paul defeated Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti in last year’s final.
