President El-Sisi Meets Armed Forces Commanders – Africa.com
Today, President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, met with a number of commanders of the Armed Forces at the headquarters of the Strategic Command in the new administrative capital. The meeting was attended by General Abdul Majid Al-Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and commanders of all major services.
Ambassador Mohammad Al-Shennawi, spokesman for the Presidium, said the meeting discussed regional and international developments and their impact on security and stability in the Middle East.
President Sisi praised the efforts of the armed forces to protect Egypt’s borders from any potential threats. The President also emphasized that the successive incidents and tensions in the region confirm that our choice for a just and sustainable peace requires us to continue building the capacity of comprehensive forces to defend the country while continuing the country’s comprehensive development efforts to achieve the country’s great aspirations. Egyptian people work together to create a better future.
The meeting also discussed the efforts made by the armed forces to ensure all strategic directions of the country and their readiness to carry out delivery tasks.
