French father sentenced for raping his teen daughter for years and offering her up to strangers

Draguignan, France — A court in southeastern France on Friday sentenced a man to 20 years in prison for raping his teenage daughter and offering her to strangers for sex over several years. Some of the defendants in the Pellicott case claim that the victim’s then-husband, Dominic Pellicott, gave them the same impression.

Like Dominique Pelicot, the father in Friday’s case, he directed, participated in and filmed sex acts involving his daughter, who was blindfolded during the encounter.

He admitted the charges but claimed in court that he was in a romantic relationship with the young girl and responded to sexual encounters initiated by her.

“It’s not about love, it’s about power and dominance. He doesn’t love (his daughter), he likes to have complete control over her, that she belongs to him, that she obeys him,” prosecutor Boyce said.

She also asked the judge to sentence the second defendant, the only other identified man who abused the girls, to 16 years in prison.

As in the Pellicott case, the second defendant, a man in his 60s with six children, was identified through photos and video records provided by his abuser’s father, this time through geolocation data.

The second defendant told the court he was deceived by his father’s claims that the girl had consented to three of his four meetings.

His lawyer, Christophe Mairet, said that in the fourth incident, “things went bad. Instead of behaving like a responsible person, he acted according to his own preferences and treated Abuse turned a blind eye.”
