Cartier Racing Awards: City Of Troy named horse of the year
Derby winner Troy City has been named Horse of the Year at the Cartier Racing Awards in London.
The son of American Triple Crown winner Justefy also joined the Coral Eclipse at Sandown and the Juddmont International at York in his victory at Epsom.
Troy City was beaten in the 2,000 Guineas and Breeders’ Cup Classic but won seven of his nine career starts.

Kiprio, who missed most of last year due to a serious leg injury, recorded seven wins in seven races in 2024 and was named the top holder of the 34th annual award.
