United States (U.S.) Mission Uganda Announces a 19.8% Increase in Ugandan Students Studying in the United States, Reaching an All-Time High of 1,303 Students

We celebrate our 75th anniversary Open Doors® 2024 International Education Exchange ReportWe are pleased to announce that this year the number of Ugandan students studying in the United States has reached a record high, increasing from 1,088 students in the 2022/2023 academic year to 1,303 students in the 2023/2024 academic year, an increase of 19.8%. Uganda is currently one of the emerging countries south of the Sahara that sends the largest number of international students to the United States.
