Microsoft’s Windows 365 Link Is a Small Cloud PC Costing $349

Microsoft is unveiling its latest hardware offering, a cloud PC that connects businesses to the company’s Windows 365 service.

Microsoft says the small PC comes with 3 USB-A ports, 1 USB-C port, HDMI and DisplayPort connections, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a Kensington lock port, and an Ethernet jack. It can support two 4K resolution displays and includes Bluetooth and Wi-Fi 6E. The device does not use a fan for cooling, and the company says the device can boot quickly from boot or sleep state.

The company didn’t specify what kind of processor or memory the slim device contains, but it doesn’t have local storage.

The device won’t be available to the public until April, but Microsoft says businesses can currently get the small cloud computer through a preview in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Germany, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. “Please contact your Microsoft account team and request to join the preview program before December 15, 2024,” the company said. on the product page.

Requires Windows 365 with Microsoft Intune and Entra ID, which works with 365 Frontline, Enterprise, and Business editions. company 365’s full requirements are listed on its website. Windows 365 Government is not supported.
