Ireland v Fiji: Who could break into Andy Farrell’s side?
After Prendergast vs. Cougars. Cormac Izuchukwu He is the only player in Farrell’s original 35-man squad who has yet to earn a cap for his country.
That will surely change sooner rather than later.
Farrell and the Ireland coaching staff have spoken highly of Izuchukwu and an international appearance appears to be a natural next step.
The 24-year-old’s versatility is also key, as he can play in the second row or as a loose forward.
Selected as Emerging Ireland’s number six jersey in September, he is one of the leaders of the group and has played at fullback and back-row for Ulster.
Izuchukwu’s impressive performances have put him on the radar and Fiji could be the ideal opportunity to encourage him to step up to the international stage.
