Frontier Airlines is adding 16 new routes. Here’s where they are.
Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines has announced it will add 16 new routes starting in 2025. The move expands the airline’s services in the United States and Caribbean as one of its budget carriers, Spirit Airlines, File for bankruptcy.
Frontier said Tuesday the new routes will launch at 21 different airports in February and March.
The move comes as budget carriers face growing competition from legacy airlines, which are edging out some airports with their own low fares. As travel is suppressed after the epidemic, some consumers are changing their preferences and seeking better travel experiences, which is called “revenge travel.”
Analysts insist, however, that budget airlines are not going anywhere.
“There will always be startups trying to disrupt this space, and they’re going to try to compete because there are a lot of routes that these major airlines don’t offer,” said Jesse Neugarten, CEO and founder of Dollar Flight Club .” the flight deal site told CBS MoneyWatch.
August, Frontier Announce Eleven new routes will be launched at 15 airports in the fall.
