The Annika: England’s Charley Hull leads by two shots at halfway point
England’s Charlie Hull shot a 4-under 66 in the second round to take a two-shot lead at the LPGA Annika Golf Championship in Florida.
Hull, 28, continues her recent good form First championship in two years Saudi Aramco Team Series in Riyadh in early November.
After shooting a 64 in the first round, she improved to 10 under par at the halfway mark, two strokes ahead of American world No. 1 Nelly Korda, who also shot a 66.
Korda is a three-time winner of the event, which is named in honor of Swedish ten-time major champion Annika Sorenstam.
American Alexa Pano, 20, moved into a four-way tie for third at 7 under after shooting a 64, the day’s lowest score, at Bel Air Pelican Golf Club Bit.
Pano tied for third place with Korean pair Jin Hee Im and Mi Hyang Lee and Thai pair Wichanee Meechai.
