Rafael Nadal has brought an end to his illustrious career with Spain’s performance in the Davis Cup final in Malaga being his final appearance.
The 38-year-old has won 22 Grand Slam titles, including four at the US Open, two each at Wimbledon and the Australian Open.
But he felt most at home on the clay courts of Paris, where he won the French Open 14 times.
Along the way, he became the first player to win 100 matches at Roland Garros and only the second player to win 100 matches at the same Grand Slam, following Federer at the Australian Open and Wimbledon.
