Monster Hunter Outlanders Brings Big Beast Hunting to Mobile Gaming
As Capcom prepares to release the next major game in the series, Monster Hunter: Wildlands , there’s another one for mobile gaming fans on the way. Monster Hunter Outlanders is a new mobile game that pits players against giant beasts in a vast open world.
Monster Hunter: Outlander is the latest in a trend of popular console and PC games making the leap into mobile gaming. Although the new game has only been released with a trailer, its developer TiMi Studio Group has the strength to support its ambitions. It has previously produced the shooting game “Call of Duty” mobile game, the MOBA “Pokemon: United” and most recently The mobile strategy game “Age of Empires” was released.
Outlanders will feature the same core gameplay as the series: hunt and defeat giant monsters of varying sizes, either alone or in a party of up to four. Among them are the tools and item crafting, world events, and community and social features that people have come to expect from mobile games.
From the looks of the trailer, you can still outfit your hunter in exotic armor, fight around the area (as well as launch from a ballista and glide around), and visit different biomes in jungles, deserts, and mountains. While TiMi has yet to announce which of the series’ iconic weapons will be used in the game, you can see the character wielding a giant sword, a katana-like sword, and a bow. While there was no accomplice in sight, we did get a glimpse of a potential monkey companion who looked adorable.
While a release date for Monster Hunter: Outlander has yet to be confirmed, players will be conducting playtests to try out the new game ahead of release. There is another official discord Ideal for those who want to stay up to date with the latest news as well as their usual social channels X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram.
