ATP Tour Finals: Daniil Medvedev defeats Alex de Minaur in Turin
A rejuvenated Daniil Medvedev beat Alex De Minaur 6-2 6-4 in his second match of the ATP Tour finals.
Fourth-seeded Medvedev was furious in the opening Defeated by American Taylor Fritz Sunday’s game looked solid, but Tuesday’s win looked even more solid.

Medvedev’s temper was under scrutiny after his rude behavior 48 hours earlier, but he struck the ball well and scored with a cross-court winner in the third game.
The 28-year-old got a double break from De Minaur’s double fault and took the first set after 40 minutes.
De Minaur fought hard in a thrilling second set, but Medvedev’s stunning backhand gave him a 5-4 lead and held serve to seal the victory.
Top seed Jannik Sinner, who defeated De Minaur on Sunday, will face Fritz in front of Italy’s home fans in the Ili Nastase group stage on Tuesday at 19:30 GMT.
Meanwhile, Britain’s Henry Patten and partner Harri Helioevaara are heading into the doubles semi-finals after winning for the second time in a row.
They defeated Australian players Max Purcell and Jordan Thompson 7-6 (7-3) 7-5 to advance to the Wimbledon final again.
The British-Finnish pair are seeking to become the first team since Mike Bryan and Jack Sock in 2018 to win Wimbledon and ATP Finals trophies in the same season.
