“I want to make a statement. I’m here to win,” Littler told Sky Sports.
“I want to be at the top of the group. Everybody wants to do that. There’s a little reward for finishing first, so get out of the group stage and focus on the top 10 and hopefully keep going.”
Three-time world champion Michael van Gerwen also swept Noa-Lynn van Leuven of the Netherlands 5-0.
Scotland’s Gary Anderson won the other match in Group G with Van Gerwen, beating Ryan Joyce 4-1.
2023 World Champion Michael Smith defeated Mensur Sujovic 5-2; Stephen Bunting defeated Wessel Nijman 5-4; Dave Chisner Dave Chisnall and Peter Wright lost 5-0 to Connor Scutt and Martin Lukeman respectively.
The group stages will continue on Sunday, with the round of 16 starting on Wednesday, followed by the semi-finals and final on Sunday 17 November.
